It has grown to six companies and currently, direct mail holdings subsidiaries include Los Angeles based Creative Mailing & Marketing, Tulsa, Oklahoma based Creative Print & Mailing, San Antonio, Texas based Focus Direct, Akron, Ohio based International Data Management (IMDI), and Mail America Communications in which is based in Forest, VA.

Five of the six direct mail holdings subsidiaries are set up for various types of offset printing and mailing. These five sites all have laser devices among other things to provide those with direct maid needs with all that they would need for making personalized and customized mail.

The only direct mail holdings facility not set up for mailing and printing is the one of International Data Management (IMDI) in Akron, Ohio. As such it provides direct marketers with capabilities needed to streamline their mailing lists and reduce wastage in resources, money and effort.

The company has a long term strategic plan to create unified production platform to better address client needs. Another thing that sets it apart from its competitors is that most of the sites of subsidiary companies have post offices, helping in prompt delivery and giving them a competitive edge.

Direct mail holdings may hold all the subsidiary companies together, but currently there are no plans to convert the all into a single brand due to their unique characteristics. As direct mail holdings President Randy Seberg states on the company website "We believe each one of those companies has uniqueness of product, location and market segment, so the individual branding is important".

The company does business for both commercial enterprises and non-profit groups. Its target customers in general have regular direct mailing needs of 10,000 to five million pieces. While the company generally does not mail for requirements of less than 10,000 pieces or runs exceeding 10 million, exceptions can be sometimes made.

An interesting to note about the company is its partnership with Eastman Kodak, which as availed it of some of the best printing and reproduction technology in the market.
